When choosing the location for our first family caravaning holiday the requirements were very simple.
Firstly as we would be going direct from Viscount Caravans, the dealership we had purchase our used caravan from we wanted something very close, just in case we needed to go back to them with a query. We have been told of virgin caravaners who have picked their van up from Viscount and driven all the way to Scotland before finding a problem.
Secondly, as we were effectively caravan virgins we would need a progressive introduction to the caravanning life, and that would mean fully serviced pitches, its enough to learn to drive, pitch and get water and gas into these things without the extra difficulty of handling the gas side of the fridge and hot water, best left for another day.
So with these two in mind, the fact that the holiday would take place over a bank holiday weekend, and the short notice we had given our selves to book a place to stay, we ended up pulling into the Sunnydale farm camping and caravan site.

First impressions of the site were mixed, it was obvious immediately that the new toilet and shower facilities that the owners are putting in are a little way off being complete, with temporary facilities provided instead. However having been shown to our pitch we were pleased to discover the large amount of space that we seemed to have around us, and not feeling that we were on top of each other, and the neighbours that we had were warm and friendly.
It was also nice to see that the services that the pitches have seem clean and modern, and easy to connect up too. Provision is also provided at the service point to dispose of the grey water waste from the caravan.
So to sum up, the overall impression we have of the site are that it is well a equipped, and friendly site that is showing signs of improvements to come.
